Ray was brought up by hunters and farmers, this gave Ray an advantage when it came to weaponary including the bolt-actions and the semi-automatic. He was quickly spotted as a natural marksman by his father who was at this time in the SAS. For obvious reasons he had kept this a secret and hadn't told nobody, not even his wife but when he saw Ray's talent he sent him off to a fieldcraft shooting test:

Ray had passed with flying colours. Straight after his 12th birthday he joined cadets where they taught him another bunch of what he knows. His cadet commander (C/SGT Smith) sent him off to a sniper course when he was only just gone 15 and he just had got his 4th marksman badge.

Ray passes this sniper course extremely well and joins up for the Royal infanty at just 22 (After his medical qualifaction) after only 2 years he receives his lance corporal badge and is spotted by SAS commander who wishes to trial him.

He passes SAS along with his mates Pvt. Pinder and Pvt. Payne but what shocks him the most is when he see's his dad in there, there is a little reunion but things do not go as planned. Ray's father was caught in an accident causing his death and his friends are MIA.

Ray was then shipped off to Vietnam to look for his friends and ultamately win this war.

DIARY:

Day 1: 'Nam huh'? s'not to bad, bit hot but hey we can't have everytin' in our lives can we? Our squad just unpacked, got used to 'nam basically doing a little 15km hike, scouting for tango snipers jus' the usual.
